Getting Prepared
Knowing the Basics and Making Safe Decisions
It's important that your child knows their basic personal details and the contact details for their carer and emergency services. Your child should also be able to make safe decisions and apply safety ideas to real world scenerios.
Let's play a game!
Making Safe Decisions
Play a game of 'What If' with your child to encourage them to consider what they could do in a series of scenarios.
E.g: they are approached by a stranger, they fall off their bike and are injured or they miss their stop on the bus.
The answer to each scenerio will be unique to your family and child, but you can check out some of our best-practice advice for possible situations below.
